The main character named Red is on a quest to become the best Pokemon trainer ever. There are many obstacles in his way through, such as rival Blue and Green as well as Team Rocket. The graphics and sprites are new in this one and done nicely. Red Chapter is not finished yet but already feels completed and of high quality, the developer says he will continue to update it even more.

The story is great, the gameplay is simple enough to pick up thanks to its brilliant rock, paper, scissors battle style, and the cutscenes are particularly amazing too – especially by 3DS standards. Their mission to provide us with new adventures, long-awaited sequels for cancelled games, and titles where characters would never normally meet is worth of multiple awards. This ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed includes Pokémon from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. It will force you to plan and to think outside of the box. You’ll get a lot of use from usually overlooked Pokémon by trying different strategies.

For best results, consult the RPCS3 compatibility list and see if your desired game is running well, or if there are any specific tweaks that could boost performance. Press START + UP on the d-pad to increase the resolution while playing a game (and START + DOWN to reduce it). It is possible to emulate PS Vita games on the Steam Deck, but it is something I haven’t had a chance to test yet. I really don’t care for the other Zelda games, whether they’re 2d, toonified, motion controlled, sidescrolling or whatever. For someone that doesn’t play many games, I’d say a more approachable title like the remakes of Skyward Sword or Link’s Awakening on Switch. I think Skyward Sword HD or Breath of the Wild should be someone’s first Zelda game.
Then I got BOTW and Skyward Sword HD. I wouldn’t be surprised if Link’s Awakening could be someone’s first game. The first game on the NES is the most accessible, followed by A Link to the Past. The rest of the series is pretty meh outside those two games, and largely worth skipping. Minish Cap was ok for a single playthrough, but lacks the replayability of the games mentioned in the former. Hence probably A Link to the Past for 2D Zelda and Ocarina of Time for 3D Zelda so A Link to the Past overall given I wouldn’t recommend NSO Expansion Pack in its current state. Followups would be either Twilight Princess or The Wind Waker.
